While exploring my late grandparents’ storage room one day, I stumbled across a huge jar filled with marbles. I realized they were Grandpa’s from his childhood in 1930’s Blowing Rock and took this lovely treasure home. Judging by the amount of marbles I can only assume he was the marble ring king!
Washing them up revealed beautiful colors and patterns just not found in today’s marbles! I am proud to share Grandpa’s vintage marbles with you in the form of these beautiful earrings. I shattered the inside to bring out the natural beauty and catch the light. These fun earrings, no two pairs exactly alike, will add a pop of color to any outfit and can’t help but evoke the play these marbles brought school children 70 years ago.
